Ok, so you have installed Dial Up Networking, you have a modem
connected, powered on and installed and you have the Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) installed....all you need to do now is dial up !! And here's
how you do it :
- You will firstly need your login name and password and the
phone number in which to dial (Click HERE for the access phone
numbers)
- You will then need to click on My Computer (Top Left Hand Corner
of the Desktop) and then Click on Dial Up Networking.
- A wizard will popup asking for the name of the connection. Just
type in TOPTHIS , select your modem and click Next..
- Now it will ask for the phone number to call. This will be the
phone number you wrote down from Step 1. Enter this and click
Next... and then click Finished....
- You should now see an Icon Called TOPTHIS in your Dial UP Networking
folder.
- Right mouse button click on the TOPTHIS icon and select properties.
- You will now see a screen with phone numbers and the modem you
are going to use. Look for a button or tab saying "Server
Types" and click on it.
- The only things that should be ticked are as follows :
- Now you are finished setting everything up. Click OK and lets
dial away !!
