Ok, so now we are checking to see if the modem is installed :

1. Again click on the button. Select Settings, then open the Control Panel.
   
   
2. Now click on modems and you should see a window like this open :
   
   
   
   
3. If there is a modem there - GREAT !! Windows has installed the modem automatically for you when you setup you PC. Just make sure its plugged in now and powered on.
   
   
4. If you get a popup wizard then goto step 5. If there is no modem in the list then you need to click on the Add.. button. and a wizard will now pop up.
   
   
5. When the wizard pops up simply follow the instructions that the wizard gives you ie. All you should have to do is keep clicking Next..until it says Finished which then means the modem is installed !
   
   
6. Continue to Network Protocol....
