Ok, so you are just setting up your PC to connect to the internet.
Well firstly you need to make sure you dial-up networking installed
and then secondly that you modem is installed... This can be done
by looking at the following things:
- Press the
button. Select Settings, then open the Control Panel.
- Click on Add/Remove Programs.
- Next press on Windows Setup at the top of the Window :
- In the Components list, select Communications, and then click
the Details button. You should now see something like this this:
- If Dial-Up-Networking is ticked already then it is already installed
- wahoo !
If it isn't ticked, then tick it now and click OK at the bottom.
Click on the Apply button, and when its finished, click OK again.
(You may need your Windows CD at this point). You may be asked
to re-start your computer, in which case, re-start and continue
from here.
